Okay, I moved here to Springfield, MO, about a year and a half ago from Los Angeles (which I might add has a very prominent music scene) and I’m just wondering why there is no music scene out here in the Mid-West and why all thesigned bands try their hardest to avoid this place. The nearest venues that most bands I like (metal bands by the way) play at are about three ours away in St. Louis and Kansas City. The local scene (which has only two bands at least) isn’t that great either.

They won’t make enough money to come. I live in Omaha and before they built the new arena we had to go to Kansas City or Aames, IA all the damn time.
There has been nothing but top acts showing up here since they opened it up 3 years ago.
