Where should i go eat and stay?

i lived in arlington from age 5 to 23 and as cute and pretty as it is, there is no place to stay! unless of course you have family / friends in the area. there are a few hotels in Medford, MA (which is next door to arlington – so I would look into those).

As for eating in Arlington…well it’s a very small town and like I think someone said Jimmy’s Steer House is always good!! It gets packed with many many elderly people though (it’s their fav. dining spot) but don’t let that fool you – they have great steak and stuffed shrimp (my favorite!!)

there is also a Not Your Average Joe’s on Mass. Ave right near the center of town. You can’t really go wrong there. Then, of course, there are a million pizza and sub shops. (it’s kind of what arlington is known for – hair salons, nail places, and pizza – haha)!

There is Capri Pizza (fantastic), Nick’s place, A & A (not recommended – under new management) and then good old Papa Gino’s in the center!

Good luck. Not sure why you are staying in Arlington – but it’s not so bad :)

is not that easy to do without spend you dollars, but are some ways to travel free. cargo trains, hitch with a friend, dress as a woman. and get pick up from some one, walk for days ,or months ,and the most faster way rich you destination be dope up and tack a fly like the super man. And that is guaranty you going to a dizzying place in no time at all,, I covers everything so you get you pick .

I’m traveling to Arlington, VA in the Fall and would like to know what to expect of it.
I’ve been told that it can snow in the Fall up there, but I"m not sure! So please give me as much info as possible

It can, but rarely does. It’s more likely to just rain. Snow doesn’t happen as often as it should.

I live in Southern Pennsylvania, and I’ve been to Virginia a few times. Their weather is similar to ours — can be cold and brisk, can be rather warm… it depends if there is a warm or cold front coming through, etc.

But most of the time, it’s going to be a bit cool and calm. However sometimes it can be be in the 40s. It’s a typical fall feeling weather.

I am traveling with my boyfriend to Arlington,VA in july, I have been trying to find an inexpensive hotel near everything but all seem to start at $99 p/n if anyone know of any hotel near malls, and good places to visit while there please let me know, I am willing to travel from arlington to a hotel near that city, but since I don’t know the place, the less I have to move the better.
Its just that my boyfriend will be staying for a few days at the hyatt arlington and I have to stay with a friend at another hotel during those days, I don’t want to be so far, is the Hyatt from Crystal city or whatever really near the other Hyatt?

Hyatt Regency Crystal City, in Arlington Virginia has reasonable prices. I enjoyed my stay there, very polite staff too. Umm, since i havent been to any others in arlington im not sure what else to recomend but you should take Hyatt in to consideration. Its right by DC too.

I am looking for the name of a plus-sized clothing store in Arlington. It is on South Cooper towards Sublet Road – but not really that far up – it is on the right hand side of the street facing when you are travelling towards Sublet – it is in a plaza, there is a Jack in the Box near the front of the plaza (closer to the road) there is a grocery store in the plaza (I think) – even if you could just tell me the name of the plaza or cross road right by it, I would appreciate it.

I will be traveling to Arlington, VA in july and want to know of good nightclubs to visit, and how expensive they are? Also If you have restaurants and places you thinks I should visit while there.

There are so many clubs in D.C. It depends on what type of party you are looking for. Club Love is a good one, and fur, and Ibiza, There is a bar and lounge called ndblue….it’s really nice and it’s a restaurant upstairs. The eye bar is nice. There’s a lot of places. Just search DC Night clubs. Have fun with whatever you decide to do.

in the Mansfield area, can travel to fort worth or arlington

im sure theres a drive thru somewhere

I’m trying to find a job and will be using public transportation. If I’m willing to travel at most 30 minutes, what cities are possibilities?

Arlington’s a big town, so it really depends on where you live in there, but here are some times starting from places in Alexandria:

Alexandria (King Street Metro), on the Blue Line from Rosslyn Metro: 23 minutes
McLean, on the 23A Bus from Ballston Metro: 18 minutes
Falls Church (East Falls Church Metro) on the Orange Line from Rosslyn Metro: 11 Minutes

The Metro really is a nice, quick, and efficient way to get around. Most places in DC itself can easily be reached in under 30 minutes from Rosslyn.

My wife and I will be traveling with our kids, staying in Arlington, VA and would like the kids to see the sites in Washington, DC next week. What are they key things for the kids to see and do? (Ages 4 and 9). What is the best way to take public transportation from Arlington to DC? We’re staying the at a hotel near Courthouse Plaza in Arlington.

I am not overly familiar with the specific area of Arlington to which you refer, but we were there with our kids 2 1/2 years ago when they were 10 and 13. The Metro is very good, so I would try to use it as much as possible. You can buy a pass for a full week. I know there is a metro stop on the blue line (I think it was) at Arlington National Cemetery, and I know there are other stops in Arlington as well.

As for sites, wow, where to start? The Smithsonian is very good. There is also a Spy Museum that does have an entrance fee, but your kids will like it as they have an interactive approach to how they lead you through it. Your kids might also like the zoo which is also free. And I would recommend a tour out to Mount Vernon as well. We also rented a car one day and went to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, and that was a fun one day trip. Contact your congressman and senator and see if he or she can arrange a tour of the White House. Also, a capital tour is fun.

We spent eight days there and saw a lot of stuff, but could have done much much more. Good luck and have fun on your trip.
