Planning on getting away from Cali and going to move to dallas texas(fort worth, arlington, downtown dallas area)…we have about 10k saved….we are moving without a job and place to stay….i dont think it will be long until we find a job but for now does anyone know of longer term motels? maybe like week to week? how much would they be? we would rather get a apartment but without jobs i dont think that would be possible or?
I believe a friend of mine lived in these apartments. http://www.windscapeapts.net/ They were real cheap. $425 for a 1 bedroom per month. If it isn’t them it is one of the ones off of Mayfield. Neighborhood seemed alright.
The other suggestion is Motel 6 has the studio Hotel off of I-35. I believe there is a kitchen in every room. $32 to $40 a night. http://www.motel6.com/reservations/motel_detail.aspx?num=6035&VID=&NOA=&aYr=&aMo=&aDa=&dYr=&dMo=&dDa=&CP=&TA=&BTR=/AccorMaps/M6ProximityResults.aspx?searchtype=C

There is a list of some of them that i didnt inclued hotels or motels, Restaurants, or Bathroom brakes or Gas Stations. But here in Abilene tx we have planty of hotels or motels Restaurants, or Bathroom brakes or Gas Stations.I really Dont understand why we cant have something Nice like that instead Driven 100 to 500 miles away. To take our family too. They ask what would better abilene tx? I think a water park or Something for the kids and Us as a family can do with out missing work or driven so far. Just Like the Build on Jude Ely? Why can they Turn that in to a place Y.M.C.A or a Place to teach functional way of liveing place ?Something good for the youth ,a place where they can learn crafts or something they can use in life skills so the can can have some summer time money .Or a place the can go insted wodering the steets just a place to help young children. (i learn they have some thing like that in school functional way of liveing. but more need to learn .
But i dont understand why abilene tx dont have none of that . But they can put up more motel or hotels !
thank for read .
P.S i like to hear your comments ‘but i think it be nice to have a water park or theme park or a learning center or sea world .
lets see if we can make abileneTx etter that way. sence the newpaper dont want to print it
Not to sound negative, but my first thought after reading this was: MLA Handbook.
I personally don’t know the area, but the criteria for building a theme park includes having a large customer base. As there are already many parks within Texas, and our economy not being in a great state, there isn’t any capital or reason for an operator to open a park there.
Hope this helps.
I ride my bicycle to a Texas Rangers Baseball Game to lock it up, A man came out toll me to move from near the ball park, So i had to take it a Block away from the ballpark to lock it up to watch a game. Don’t thank its fair. lots of people rides a bicycle to places, with the cost of gas, Will i did’t have a car, And arlington, Texas don’t have buses to get from Dallas, Tx to the Arlington Texas Baseball Park With the new Cowboys playing now in arlington,Tx you don’t have a car the best thing to do stay home, Are you can take a greyhound bus & walk Half a mile to the ballparks & stay over night But it cost you lot to get a motel room the night & take a greyound bus back to dallas, Tx Jimmy
Dont complain dude, I can’t ride a bike to the stadium because its an hour away… but even if it were closer I am not allowed to ride a bike on the turnpike, which is pretty much how you get there… at least the stadium isn’t in the middle of nothing

The wife and I am taking our first train ride to Washington DC to see the Nationals, the Mall, Arlington, and Smithsonian. We have 4 days, with tickets to two games, we are looking for a bargain motel that is close, any suggestion? Any tips? Can you walk from the Mall to the stadium?
each Museum on the Mall is a day trip by them selves. the Monuments on the Mall, if you do all of them is another day trip all on their own. it’s like three miles long end to end.
you cannot walk to the stadium from the Mall you will have to subway it.
I live on Division and collins, are there any cheap motels $100 – 120 a week?
Be very, very careful on that end of Division… Between the cops, thugs and everything else, it can get pretty rough down there, especially on the weekends. They get a little cheaper going towards Bowen (past the Fielder St. overpass). Good luck with that! There are two by Catfish Sams (Mr. Lester owns the restaurant and motel) – The Lester and The Ray. The Lester is run like a gestapo, though!
I desperately need to get out LA. I’m not a criminal and i’ m not running from the law. I just need a change.
You can go on craigslist.com and look in the DFW craigslist for rooms to rent for example. The Suites Motel 6 both of Pleasant Ridge/Cooper in Arlington is where I had my expensive Coach Bag with money, license, credit card, etc. stolen on Superbowl Sunday February 2007. The Super 8 across the street houses the thieves that stole from me! I believe they have a group of people who live there either as worker’s or welfare because every one of my friends who have stayed at either place has had their credit card info stolen and many purchases made using the stolen credit card info!! They are being investigated.
I just want to stay one day have some fun with a boyfriend i just want something really really cheap
you can get a hotel for under that, actually. there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. just go here: http://bookme.com/hotels.php and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it’s very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online… otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
